Magnus Riesling 2023

Magnus Riesling 2023

A delightful introductory Riesling from Staffelter Hof which takes a more classical approach to the grape than some of Jan’s more experimental cuvées. Pure, mineral, zesty Mosel Riesling with soaring acidity sitting nicely with green apple, lime zest, salinity and that unmistakable waft of kerosene lifting from the glass. A clean, easy-drinking, versatile Riesling - great bang for buck!

Produced using grapes from slate soils, fermented and aged on the lees in stainless steel tanks, with a touch of sulpher added at bottling. This is one from Jan's 'classic' range, it is more familiar as Mosel Riesling than perhaps the zero-additions range that Jan makes, though every bit as pure and mineral.
