The only white Antonio makes as a direct-press, it shows a rounded, textural mouthfeel that is typical of the grape. Sherbert-y lemon, Galia melon, a savoury, hay-like quality and a saline undertone, leading to green almond bitters in the finish. Following a more challenging 2023, it's great to see Fontana back on this broad, fleshy, well-balanced sort of form.
A direct-press of 100% Falanghina planted over rocky limestone at 550 metres of elevation. Fermented and raised in steel, the wine is bottled the following spring with no additions.
